THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN THE AGE OF IOT: AN ASSESSMENT

Abstract

One of the major industries responsible for driving economic growth worldwide, the Automobile industry is one of the most significant. Today, 80% of organizations use some form of IoT foundation, which addresses a sort of modern unrest. When IoT is utilized in emerging industries, more opportunities for business growth are opened, better customer experiences are improved, mobility is increased, and many other advantages can be enjoyed. Thus, the integration of IoT in the automobile sector is so disruptive that it can revolutionize the functioning of automobiles. By blending the Automotive sector with the Internet of Things technology, we have evaluated the concept of IoT. In this article, we recapitulate how IoT can be applied to the Automobile sector and provide examples. The work aims to set a foundation for future research in this area by identifying the requirements and concerns that need to be addressed.
