Three types of truss-shaped were proposed namely plain box (Type 1), box with vertical and inclined internal members (Type 2), and box with inclined internal members only (Type 3). The experimental results showed that the average punching shear capacity were recorded to be 140.026 kN, 150.818 kN, 161.430 kN and 170.089 kN for Control, FS1, FS2 and FS3 specimens, respectively. As such, the use of truss-shaped punching shear reinforcement increased the punching shear capacity up to 21.47 %. The enhancement of punching shear capacity showed by FS3 can be associated to the presence of inclined members that are capable to intercept more shear cracks.
Shamshinar Salehuddin, Shaharudin Shah Zaini*, Megat Azmi Megat Johari, Ahmad Nurfaidhi Rizalman, Nur Liza Rahim & Mustaqqim Abdul Rahim Copyright (c) 2023 http://hdlgdxxb.info/index.php/JE_CUST/article/view/561 Tue, 15 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 AN INTEGRATED APPROACH OF PERMEABILITY DETERMINATION USING HYDRAULIC FLOW UNIT AND ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK METHODS IN THE KMJ FIELD http://hdlgdxxb.info/index.php/JE_CUST/article/view/562
This study discussed on determining of reservoir rock permeability in the challenging and heterogeneous of KMJ Oil Field. Through the integration of well log and core data, the difficulty of permeability determination in this field compared to more homogeneous reservoirs could be handled. The permeability determination is based on well log analysis, which is validated against permeability obtained from core analysis or well testing. Selecting the appropriate permeability method is crucial for accurately calculating reservoir rock transmissibility in dynamic models. The analysis begins with the calculation of physical properties, such as Vshale rocks and porosity, derived from well log analysis, which is further validated against mud log data and core porosity measurements. In core analysis, core porosity and permeability data were utilized to calculate essential parameters including reservoir quality index (RQI), ∅z, and flow zone indicator (FZI) cores using the Hydraulic Flow Unit (HFU) method. To determine permeability in well intervals without core data, the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method to predict the FZI log was used. By combining the HFU and ANN methods, then could be generated to permeability prediction values specific to the field conditions. In the case of the KMJ-105 well of KMJ field, the resulting permeability predictions exhibit a deviation coefficient of 0.85 and a gradient (m) of 0.94, with an error percentage of 9.81%. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the integrated of HFU and ANN methods in permeability determination and provide valuable insights for reservoir characterization and management.
Hariyadia, Dedy Kristanto*, Emanuel Jiwandono Saputroa, Tubagus Adam Aliefan, Jerry Devios Mamesah Copyright (c) 2023 http://hdlgdxxb.info/index.php/JE_CUST/article/view/562 Tue, 15 Aug 2023 00:00:00 +0000 A LABORATORY STUDY OF SURFACTANT-POLYMER INJECTION ON THE COREFLOODING TEST FOR ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY http://hdlgdxxb.info/index.php/JE_CUST/article/view/569
The utilization of chemical flooding to improve oil production in a large scale has many used for the oil field. Some cases have a success, and the others have failed when full scale project implemented. Before chemical flooding implemented, once of the recommended best practice to be done is chemical compatibility based on the reservoir characteristic of the layer as a target in improving oil recovery. Hence, coreflooding test in the laboratory to be an important thing to conduct in other to knows and determine the chemical performance after screening phase. The study of coreflooding test in laboratory, shows that the measurement of surfactant and polymer properties have a good result to be used as an injection fluid in other to improve oil production. Surfactant-polymer injection which has concentrations of 3000 ppm and 1000 ppm with injection mechanism of 0.3 PV surfactant and 0.2 PV polymer gives the result of improving oil production it about 12.89%. Furthermore, based on the qualitative analysis obtained that the used of surfactant SS-B8020 as an injection fluid shown that plugging has not occurred in the reservoir rock pores, it means that the injection fluid was compatible with these reservoir rock.
Dedy Kristanto*, Hariyadi, Yulius Deddy Hermawan Copyright (c) 2023 http://hdlgdxxb.info/index.php/JE_CUST/article/view/569 Fri, 01 Sep 2023 00:00:00 +0000
